Span 2 scapbook final outline

Final project scrap book or final cumulative written exam, progress checks along the way.
Create a 10 pg scrap book with pictures and Spanish writing on every page plus a cover page.
Each page needs about 6 to 7 sentences covering the picture topics. This is the Test grade to replace the Final exam. Daily participation/daily work grades will be earned. A rough draft of all the Spanish writing 10 pages (5 pages at a time) take the place of a 6 weeks tests.
Page topics
1) About you (your name, when and where you were born, how much did you weigh, when did you start to walk…, what were your favorite toys)
2) About your family ( how many people in your family, how many brothers/sisters you have, describe your mom and dad, include cousins, grandparents etc.., favorite things to do or sports to play of certain or all family members
3) About your friends (who are they, childhood best friends and or current people you like to be around, what are some events or places you have gone with them to, if childhood friends what you used to like to play/do, what movies or shows you used to watch or currently watch, what are some characteristics you look for in a friend or describe those characteristics of your current friends.
4)Your favorite activities/sports/church/passions/what you do outside of school or in school (what you did when you were in primary and middle school as well as currently, awards received it’s ok to brag, favorite color/s, clothing, weather, your pets etc..
5) A vacation you went to (preterite tense=, talk about different ones at different times in your life, where you went, what mode of transportation, where you stayed, what you did while there, what was the weather like, why did you like or not like it)
6) Describe emotions (use adjectives and adverbs, talk about a birthday party you had, what decorations you used, what you did, who came to it, you can describe a perfect party scenario if you want, what music would be played who would be there, what emotions …..)
7) Daily schedule (reflexive verbs= describe your routine, what time do you get up, shower, when do you brush your teeth, hair, get dressed, do to school, work/homework, watch television, practice sports, go to bed, sleep)
8) Food (what is your favorite restaurant, food, why you like or don’t like certain foods, memories of eating certain food in certain places, include desserts, whose cooking you prefer etc…
9) Suggestions/Recommendations (subjunctive= it’s good that…., I hope that…maybe ….I recommend that my friends/family….. it’s sad that…. It bothers me that….I am happy that…
10) Future plans ( future and conditional= in the future I will go to ……I would like to learn …. At the university I will study every day, I will work in the ……I will get good grades, and receive my diploma in 4 years… I will live in…. and I will help…..because I will have a lot of money.
Rubric:
A variety of verbs, tenses, nouns, adjectives, adverbs learned throughout the year were used. =25%
The scrap book consisted of 10 pages with at least 1 picture per page to go with the pg topic described above. =25%
At least 6 sentences per page were written grammatically correct for a total of at least 60 sentences. =40%

ESSAY assignment: Due May 9th A day, may 10th B day. Write an essay in Spanish incorporate 20 verbs in the future and conditional tense as well as the “por” and “para” pronouns. MINIMUN ½ page paragraph double spaced font 12, varying the verbs, irregulars, etc. Notice the complex sentence structure of the sample below. You may use the sample or write your own.

Presentation Project Test Due dates May 11 for A days and May 16th for B days.
Either use your homework essay, create a dialogue with a friend (10 sentences each), or write a song in Spanish (can be a rap). Use 10 sentences, 20 different verbs, at least 4 irregulars. You may have the English script in front of you when you present, not the Spanish one. You need 5 props which can be real items or 5 drawings colored or pictures from the internet or magazines, use a manila folder.

Project due May 9th and 10th
Give a presentation about a dream house or your current house. Illustrate and
describe the house and the rooms in it, using drawings or
magazine photos on a manila folder (at least 5 illustrations). Describe your furniture as
well, using as much vocabulary as you can from Etapa 2, as well
as vocabulary that you’ve learned up to this point.

Goal: A videotape or live presentation and manila folder with pictures/drawings
should be included. A minimum of 10 different sentences varying the verbs, vocabulary, and grammar structures learned should be learned. You may write the English sentences on your manila folder to help you know what to say in Spanish.
Ideas:
If doing a videotape your illustrations are not necessary, they can be your real, room, living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, lamp, television, etc.. You can videotape yourselves doing chores like sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out the trash, moving the furniture etc.. Your parents would love this!! You can do this with a partner but each of you will need 10 different lines.
If doing the live presentation you can have pictures of your real rooms of your house or a dream house. Include the chores vocabulary and adverbs.

Span II Review of verbs, flash card/ booklets with matching pictures = project/oral test due dates 4/19 or 4/20 for B day.
Create flash cards with card stock or index cards. You need 100 cards.
Each card needs an identifying picture and sentence.
Cards need to be labeled with a picture, English word on one side and sentence and the Spanish word on the other side.
The verbs can be typed or neatly hand written, the pictures can be from the internet, magazines or neatly drawn and colored.
For students who can’t afford or don’t want to do the flash cards, a different option is to create a power point following the same format described above. With this option you will need to present it to the class.
Grading rubric: all verbs done=25%, pictures=20%, grammatically correct sentences = 25%, orally answer 10 random verbs = 20%, neatness 10%
Homework grade and participation grade for this activity will be earned by on task work and daily progress on project; I will walk around and stamp participation papers as I see the work done.

Span 2 Project 4:1

Use the vocabulary from Chapter 4 section 1 (house voc/furniture etc) to draw and label at least 20 items in a HOUSE layout, pictures on manila folder can be drawn and colored or cut out from magazines or computer ones. Write a 1 page typed essay in Spanish describing your house and use the grammer (subjunctive) from this section. When presenting project you may read your spanish script.

Span 1 project 4.1

PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT
Role-Play
Work in a group with two or three other people. Write a skit
about a group of new students asking for directions as they
make friends in their new school and town. Use as much
information as you can from what you studied in Etapa 1. Be
sure to rehearse and use props and costumes.
Goal: A videotape of your skit, as well as a copy of
the script to be included in your portfolio (manila folder).
You can present live in class. Remember to give directions, instructions, use places and addresses. Use at least 25 vocabulary words from this section. Each person needs 10 substantial sentences each. You may have the English script in front of you when you are presenting, you may have key words in Spanish on your manila folder. Use 5 props which can be pictures glued to your manila folder, you can draw them or use real objects.
